WR Elijah Moore (11.17.23)

How have you guys kind of dealt with, now you’ve had, whatever, three or four days to deal with the Deshaun (Watson) news? So how as an offense do you guys, I guess cope with that and then move on?

“Yeah, we’re not excited about anyone getting hurt, especially him being our leader. But like I said, every single week when he was down before, it’s next man up. You can’t really dwell on that. You got to just keep playing. Who would we be if we would be down? We got to lift everyone up and show him that we’re going to play for him.”

What have you seen from DTR (Dorian Thompson-Robinson) this week and I guess from his last start to now, the growth?

“Well, last time he started, he only knew that day. So having the time to build in, I feel like everyone has more confidence in him and in the plan. So, either way we go at it, man, we got to trust him. I know I do. I know the guys do.”

What kind of ball does he (Dorian Thompson-Robinson) throw? And do you feel like you two have established a pretty nice chemistry together?

“Yeah, I mean, with the time that we’ve been presented, I feel like we do a good job. So I can’t ask nothing, but just wait for Sunday.”

I know Dorian (Thompson-Robinson) talked about being more prepared this time. Some of that is he knew days in advance that he was starting but it seems like he’s been studying more. Have you seen that from him being around?

“Yeah. You see him every single day he goes out there. He spends a lot of time outside of this, so you can’t do nothing but respect.”

As a group of receivers, how do you go in this game, especially now that he’s had practice?

“Be extra detailed for him. You just lock in extra. That’s really the plan for everybody.”

Did it feel like a weight off to get that touchdown in Baltimore?

“Yeah, it felt good to score again. I feel like I ain’t scored in a long time, so, yeah, I was definitely grateful.”

How about the Pittsburgh Steelers and just the magnitude of this game and what’s at stake for you guys on Sunday?

“Yeah. I mean, another big game, just like the Baltimore week. I feel like we attack every week the same. We’re going to put our best forward for them just like we did last week.”

I know Joe Flacco was here working out this morning and you obviously played with him, so what did you learn when you were together in New York about him?

“I had a great time with him. He’s a great leader, he’s a vet and I know anyone that would be around him would have a good time and learn a lot.”

Have you seen him since he’s been in the building today?

“No, I didn’t even know he was here.”

And would you think that would be such a welcome addition and if so, in what way? What do you think he (Joe Flacco) would bring?

“I feel like Joe’s a leader. I feel like he has a lot of experience. He knows football and how could you not want to lean on somebody who knows football? They play the game for a long time at a very high level, the highest level, MVP level. So major respect to him.”

And do you think that would be great for a young guy like a rookie like Dorian (Thompson-Robinson), just able to learn?

“Yeah, definitely. That’s the main thing. That’s probably the main focus of why he would come as well, too.”

How much coaching from you, if you will, have you done like with Dorian (Thompson-Robinson) as far as communicating? Hey, this is where I like the ball in this situation or stuff like that. How’s that going?

“I feel like it’s going good. As long as we see what he’s seeing, I feel like everything’s going to be fine. But you also got to let people play. You don’t want to ever be in someone’s ear that knows the magnitude of the opportunity and be pressing too much. He’s going to find his groove. At the end of the day, we’ve been playing football since we were young. We’re going to figure it out.”
