WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (12.7.22)
On winning AFC Special Teams Player of the Week:
“I feel good. It is a great feeling, a great accomplishment.”
On his 76-yard punt return for a TD against Houston:
“It was something we have been talking about kind of the whole week. That was the plan to go to the right side of the field, and everybody in the meeting room from the beginning of the week locked in on what the goal was. We went to the game, and we executed that goal.”
On how close he was to falling down on the punt return TD:
“I just stumbled.”
On the emphasis on getting north and south on punt returns in recent weeks:
“Yeah, it is something that I have definitely been trying to work on and trying to get better at that every time I am back there trying to improve.”
On the key to the Browns’ improvement in the return game in recent weeks:
“We are just really getting on the same page with the goal that we are trying to accomplish on each return – me understanding the subtle nuances of different returns and then really just my teammates who show great effort and being a great help to me.”
On if scoring a punt return TD is better than a receiving touchdown:
“I love touchdowns so a touchdown is a touchdown, but it is definitely special.”
