WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (11.28.22)

On his weekend featuring a win over the Buccaneers and his alma mater Michigan defeating Ohio State:

“It was a great week all in all. Like you said, it started great and it ended great. The best thing about the whole week was that we won yesterday.”

On his confidence level as a returner and if he felt like he almost broke a few big returns yesterday:

“I did. I feel like I am getting better. I feel like I am improving. The guys really were helping me out a lot yesterday with the blocks and opening up lanes for me to cut through. That definitely played a part in my confidence in the return game yesterday, as well.”

On how excited he is to play with QB Deshaun Watson:

“You know what? I am actually excited every game that I get a chance to play in the NFL. That is my approach to it. Every week is a new week, and every week I am very thankful to be playing here on this stage.”

On how Watson has looked in practice the past two weeks:

“He looks good. Looked good.”

On if he has spent extra time with Watson on the side during practice and the importance of getting extra reps with Watson:

“I think it is definitely important just to build the chemistry back up from where it left off. I think every rep that we will have together the chemistry should increase that much more.”

On if he has experienced catching a pass from Watson that was placed only where he can catch it, given CB Martin Emerson Jr.’s comment about one of Watson’s passes:

“What Martin was saying is definitely honest. I have seen it and seen some of the things that he can do. It is amazing. I am definitely excited to play with him and excited to continue to keep winning and keep our win streak up.”

On having the opportunity to build on his relationship with Watson in the facility during recent weeks:

“It has been good. He is a cool guy. Ready and excited to play with him.”

On what QB Jacoby Brissett has meant to him:

“He has meant a lot. He has meant a lot. That is who we started the season with. Played an extensive amount of games in with. He has always been a big part of the offense, always been a big part to me and always been a big part to every guy on the team just with his leadership and who he is as a person outside of being a football player. Jacoby honestly means a lot to this team. I know he feels that way, and I know he feels the love that we dish out to him, as well.”
