WR Amari Cooper (12.29.22)
On how much challenging weather conditions in recent weeks have affected opportunities to strengthen his connection with QB Deshaun Watson:
“Obviously, the weather plays a factor in the passing game, especially when it is windy here playing home games, but it is something that you have to work through because obviously, football is played in all conditions. I wouldn’t say it has affected it. If anything, it has made it better.”
On how important it is to perform well the final two games of the season and building for next year with Watson and the entire Browns offense:
“You just answered the question. Just making sure Deshaun has more chemistry and camaraderie with all of us on the field.”
On if he believes momentum at the end of one season can carry into the next year:
“Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn’t. What I do know is the more reps we all have together, the better we will be.”
On if the Browns are talented enough that they should be in the playoffs:
“Every team is talented. Kind of a difficult question to answer because I don’t think talent necessarily gets you in the playoffs.”
On what was missing this season that led to the Browns not reaching the playoffs:
“I don’t know. We just didn’t win enough games obviously.”
