WR Amari Cooper (12.13.22)

On the status of his hip injury and how much it hindered him last week:

“It is getting better. It is just a part of playing football in this league. Obviously, it is a hinderance anytime you are not 100 percent, but you just fight through it and try to be available for your team.”

On if QB Deshaun Watson seemed more comfortable last week in the second start of the season:

“Yeah, definitely. Again, Deshaun has not played football games in a very long time. I think with each game rep, he is going to get better and better. I think that is going to be a trend that we will all see before our eyes that with every play he is going to get better and better.”

On if he might need surgery during the offseason due to the injury:

“I don’t know. I don’t even really want to think that far ahead. I just want to take it day by day and then we will cross that bridge when we get there.”

On if he will attempt to play through the injury for the remainder of the season:

“Ideally, you want to play through something if you can. I have always been that type of player. If I can fight through something, I am going to do my best to do it.”

On why it is so important to him to play through injuries throughout his career:

“Just the availability aspect of things. Just want to be available for my team. Just want to be accountable. That is it.”

On if he has had an injury like this one before:

“Yeah, I have had different injuries. I would say at this point I have had injuries to probably almost every body part. Yeah, I have had to deal with stuff like this before.”

On if he has had a core muscle injury in the past similar to the one he has now:

“This injury specifically, no, but I have had things that I have fought through that felt like this in kind of a similar area like a groin injury and stuff like that.”
