TE Harrison Bryant (8.16.22)

On training camp thus far:

“It has been good so far.”

On how comfortable he is going into Year 3:

“This is Year 3. I definitely feel a lot more comfortable in terms of the offensive scheme. Being in the same system for three years and the same coaching staff, it has been great. I definitely feel like I kind of have a little mastery of the system and now just really focusing on the details of my work.”

On the differences between QB Jacoby Brissett’s and QB Deshaun Watson’s passes and pre-snap operation:

“I think there are a lot of similarities in terms of how they both command the huddle, how they know the offense and how they know what we want to do as a team. They are both obviously extremely talented. Both have had a lot of success. Me personally, I am looking forward to working with both of them.”

On how important scramble drills have been this offseason and training camp for the Browns:

“It was definitely something we wanted to improve on, especially knowing the type of quarterbacks we have in our room. The fundamentals of scramble drill – whether you are deep, go deep or short, stay short – and just things like that. It is definitely something I think that we have improved on and obviously looking to continue to improve on it.

On if injuries at WR has put more onus on him and TE David Njoku to supplement the Browns offense:

“We do not really discuss that. I think our main thing is just to come out and do our job whatever we are asked. All of the other guys that are in the receiver room are going to step up and make plays. Our big thing is just focus on what we can control and whatever we are asked to do.”
