T Jedrick Wills Jr. (8.9.22)

On working with former Browns T Joe Thomas:

“It has been really good. He has been coming out and helping us. He has been here during camp almost every day. Him and (offensive line) Coach (Bill) Callahan have kind of built in a little session where he can come in, show us a couple of things from his day and work on some technique with us. It has been very beneficial.”

On if his ankle injury during the first game last season held him back a lot during the remainder of the season:

“I would say through probably the first three or four weeks until I got those two games off, my body was only at 50 percent. Playing offensive line, it was just not anything helpful at all.”

On if he is glad that the Browns are not going to Arrowhead this year, given he sustained injuries in his first two games at the stadium:

“Yeah, that place is cursed (laughter).”

On if he knows how much he will play during the first preseason game at Jacksonville:

“They have not told us anything.”

On how much he would like to play at Jacksonville:

“I am good with whatever.”

On how much better he feels mentally and emotionally this year compared to last year:

“I feel a lot better. Last year was a struggle. It was not a secret – everybody knew that. Playing with an injury is one of the hardest things you could do as a player. I am excited for this year.”

On if he feels like this is a big year for him to further prove his abilities:

“Yeah, definitely. It could be a turnaround year for me.”
