T Jack Conklin (10.27.21)

On if he expects to play against the Steelers:

“Yes. Yeah, I am back. Yep.”

On how he is feeling:

“Good. Much better. I am bummed I missed two games like that, but happy I am back and healthy and ready to roll.”

On if he sustained the injury in the Chargers game or if it is something he has been dealing with for a while:

“It was the game.”

On how he stays mentally focused when not playing:

“I just try to go through it like I am playing. I want to be on point in everything. Just try to be able to help as much as I can for the guys who are out there. It is tough. It sucks being out. When you are out there and you know you are not going to be a part of it, it is brutal. I am happy the guys are able to step in and do a good job with me out. I am excited to be back.”

On what QB Case Keenum brings to the Browns offense:

“I think definitely a level of experience. Case has been a starter in the league. He knows what he is doing. He is a smart guy. He prepares every week like he is going to start. We have a lot of confidence with him as an offensive line. It is definitely different than having (QB) Baker (Mayfield) obviously, but we have a lot of confidence in him.”

On if things pick up when preparing to face a division rival like the Steelers:

“Yeah, definitely. You can feel the difference. It is that smash-mouth football. You know it is going to be a tough game. They have a great defense, as we all know. It will be a great challenge. You can definitely feel the rivalry here. It is fun to have that. It means so much to the city and to us.”
