RB Nick Chubb (11.30.22)
On if QB Deshaun Watson returning from suspension has given the team a new energy:
“We are all excited. We have all waited a long time for him to come back, but it is the same thing. We have to go out there, we have to work, can’t get too distracted by anything and keep the main thing the main thing.”
On what he has seen from Watson in practice:
“He is special. He is a playmaker. He puts the ball exactly where he needs it to go. Guys like that. Guys are excited. We all are. We are ready.”
On if he expects opponents to put eight defensive players in the box less frequently with Watson at QB:
“I hope so, but we won’t know until Sunday. I am sure that they have to come up with a better plan for whatever we do.”
On how much Watson’s ability to run helps him:
“It helps everyone just because the defense doesn’t really know what to do because Deshaun can throw the ball or run the ball. It makes it harder on them obviously.”
On what he thinks it will be like for Watson in Houston:
“I won’t know until I get there.”
On if the Browns can still make a run at the playoffs:
“Take it one week at a time. We got a win last week, but we are trying to go 1-0 this week, not get too ahead of ourselves and just worry about Wednesday.”
