RB Nick Chubb (10.5.22)

On his homecoming to Georgia despite the result:

“It was good. I got to see some family and some friends so it went great.”

On if he received feedback from players on the Cedartown High School football team that attended the game:

“I have not talked to them.”

On the key to improving offensive red zone efficiency:

“I think once we get down there, our mindset has to change. We have to get the ball in the end zone. We have to find a way. We didn’t execute very well, as we have been this season. Something we worked on in offseason, but last Sunday, we weren’t able to quite get it together. Just going forward, we have to be better down there.”

On if the loss to the Falcons was a missed opportunity, given the tough schedule in upcoming weeks:

“It is what it is at this point. We lost. We are a 2-2 team. We can’t do anything about it. Just have to keep working and moving forward.”

On if he wishes he and RB Kareem Hunt had more opportunities when the offense is inside the 10-yard line:

“Like I said, it is what it is. (Head) Coach (Kevin Stefanski) is going to make the best calls for us as he feels during that time. No matter whose number is called, we have to get the ball in. I think we all feel like we can always get the ball in. Anybody can so it is not just the running backs. I feel like anybody we can get the ball in in that situation.”

On the Chargers defense:

“They are a great, physical team, especially up front. They have some big guys up there. No question (Chargers S) Derwin James (Jr.) in the back is a very physical player and a very smart player. A lot of speed on the field so it will be a great challenge for us.”
