RB Kareem Hunt (8.3.21)

On the first week of training camp:

“I see a lot of talent, a lot of great players and teammates and a scheme that we already know.”

On if it is fair to say that the lights come on for him when the pads come on:

“I would say that is fair to say. I really do not like all of this two-hand touch stuff.”

On RB Nick Chubb signing a three-year contract extension:

“It is amazing. I am happy for him. I am still waiting on my Wagyu steak. I am very happy for him. He deserves it. He works very hard each and every day. That guy is just a great dude, and he is very humble.”

On how it feels to have the Browns be the face of the ‘running backs do matter’ movement:

“Honestly, it feels great. We are trying to be more than a face. We are trying to be a face that helps bring something special here, and that is a championship. We still have to go out there and prove it each and every week like we will. I know what type of players we are. I really do not buy into all of that ‘running back don’t matter’ stuff. I know a lot of running backs who can take a game over by themselves.”

On if he uses the playoff loss to the Chiefs as motivation and his thoughts on playing at Kansas City in Week 1:

“I have not really watched it. It is another game, and I am going to go out there and give it my all. It is in the past. We need to figure out how to make those plays that need to be made to win that game.”
