On if he is excited to play against a talented player like Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey:

“Yeah, I think it is always an excitement when it comes to playing guys of high caliber, playing in the NFL, period, going against guys who are top-rated and going against guys who are also getting paid like you are getting paid. It will be an exciting process, and it will be an exciting game to watch.”

 

On what makes McCaffrey so difficult to stop:

“He is elusive. He has an ability to get from Point A to Point B pretty quick and pretty fast. He has been doing what he has been doing for a long time.”

 

On what he has seen on film from Panthers QB Baker Mayfield:

“Baker is Baker. A great guy. A great person. A smart player. High IQ. Able to know when it is the time and place to do things. He is able to use his feet, as well. He will be a tough task so we are looking forward to studying more on Baker. Looking forward to playing him.”

 

On if he remembers his thoughts before first NFL season opener and if it matched expectations:

“Last year, it was really just to make an impact and contribute any way that I could. It will be the same thing. To solidify my role on this team, to solidify my value on this team and how I can best help us win. That will be the same mindset. Whatever my role is, I am looking forward to shaping into that. Whatever the coaches ask of me, that is what I am going to do.”

 

On the Browns DTs:

“They are phenomenal at what they do. Whether it is taking on two blocks, three blocks or one block, I think if you really watch the tape and really watch what they have been doing so far in camp, you will see some guys who are really ready to ascend. I am looking forward to playing behind them, and I think they will make my job easier.”
