LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (8.19.22)

On the Browns defense’s performance during yesterday’s joint practice with the Eagles:

“The defense did well. I think we came out and executed fine. A couple of mistakes that we have to correct and things that we have to fix, but I think overall, it was a good performance.”

On the vibe of the team after learning aware QB Deshaun Watson will be suspended 11 games:

“Truly, I do not think anything changed in reference to the vibe of the team. We were always set on focusing on the now and focusing on those things that we can control. That has always been the focus. His business is the things that he is worried about, but the team is always behind him and the team always has his back. Nevertheless, the vibe does not change and the energy does not change. We are always focused on the now.”

On if there was a sense of relief from the team knowing the outcome of Watson’s discipline:

“Like I said, the vibe did not change.”

On if all of the Browns’ goals for the 2022 season are still achievable:

“Yes. Absolutely.”

On his relationship with QB Jacoby Brissett:

“If you ever take a peek over there, Jacoby has the locker right beside mine. We have a lot of good conversations in reference to on the field and off the field. He is a smart guy, an intelligent guy and he has the capability to take us where we need to be.”

On the bonds among the Browns defense and how it has grown among the unit due to the consistency from last season:

“The more time we spend with each other, the more that our team chemistry builds and the defense is able to trust each other, and that is a big thing. As you walk around the facility, all you see is team. That is something on the defense that we try to push and that is something for the team we try to push.”
