DE Myles Garrett (10.7.22)

On returning to play on Sunday:

“I feel good. Feel like I am ready. Back to make a difference and change this game when I am in it.”

On reaction to a report last week that he would be impacted by the shoulder injury for two to four weeks:

“I didn’t see it. My body can tell me how long I need to be out or when I am ready to go back, and it is telling me that I am ready for some action right now.”

On if he feels limited at all by the shoulder and/or biceps injuries:

“We will see. I have been taking it kind of light trying to get there but been progressing very well with my training and my treatments. I am looking forward to just seeing what I can do, and I don’t think I will be hindered by it too much.”

On if will be able to play a standard amount of snaps on Sunday:

“I am not sure yet. I have been kind of building up with the rep count in practice as far as seeing my tolerance and seeing different positions that I have gotten put my shoulder and arm into. Everything is still good up to now.”

On if he approached the injury recovery from the one-car accident the same as one sustained on the field:

“Yeah, it is all the same. When I got it here, like I got it off the field, it is all the same. Just have to keep on staying on it and treat it as best as I can.”

On the potential for him and DE Jadeveon Clowney to return against the Chargers, who have the league’s No. 1 passing offense:

“They are only going to pass the ball if we make them. We have to make sure that they don’t get the inclination to stop running the ball. We have to make sure that is shut down, and then once we are able to get them to second-and-long and third-and-long, we have to make sure we have a good plan to go after this quarterback who is very talented.”
