WR Anthony Schwartz (8.19.21)
On how it feels to be back at practice:
“It feels great to be back. Honestly, I just love competing. I love getting better. I love watching my team get better. It is great to be a part of the team and great to be back out there.”
On how tough it has been to recover from the hamstring injury:
“It is pretty tough just because I want to go out there and show what I can do and show off my biggest strength. At the end of the day, it is all about staying healthy, it is all about being able to be out there and it is all about being available. I just have to know that you can’t run every play at 22-23 miles an hour. You have to pace yourself. You have to get through and you have to be able to just pace yourself the whole time.”
On if he was happy with his start to training camp:
“Yeah, I was really happy. I felt like every day I was improving, no matter what it was. Even if it was one percent, that is an improvement, and that is better than no percent. Every day I felt like I was getting better. It was unfortunate I had a little setback, but even then, I am still getting better. I am able to get mental reps, I am able to watch and visually see it and I can kind of see myself learning the same way.”
On how hard it is to not go full speed all of the time in practice:
“It is a little hard just because I get into that zone and I am like, ‘OK, it is time to go.’ Sometimes you do not feel like it. You do not feel you are running fast enough so you want to go faster. At the end of the day, it is something that I have to learn, and it is something that I am getting better at learning and be able to do.”
On his hamstring injury has recovered enough to get up to 22-23 MPH now:
“Yes, sir. I think it is.”
