Peoples-Jones named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week (12.7.22)

BEREA, Ohio – Cleveland Browns WR Donovan Peoples-Jones has earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for games played Dec. 1-5 (Week 13), the National Football League announced Wednesday.

 

Peoples-Jones returned three punts for 86 yards, including a 76-yard punt return for a touchdown during the Browns 27-14 victory at Houston. It was the Browns first punt return for a touchdown since Sept. 20, 2015, and just the second punt return for a touchdown in the NFL this season. Peoples-Jones added three receptions for 44 yards on offense. The Browns became the first NFL team with two defensive touchdowns and a special teams touchdown in a game since Week 11 of the 2014 season.

 

Peoples-Jones joins Cade York (AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 1) as NFL award winners this season.
