NEYMAR JR. HEADLINES BRAZIL ROSTER FOR “ROAD TO 26” SHOWDOWN VS. EGYPT ON JUNE 6 AT HUNTINGTON BANK FIELD
Brazil’s all-time leading goalscorer returns to the Seleção ahead of FIFA World Cup
CLEVELAND (Monday, May 18, 2026) — Brazil has confirmed its FIFA World Cup roster ahead of its match against Egypt at Huntington Bank Field on June 6, part of the Road to 26 presented by Turkish Airlines. The friendly, set for 6 p.m. ET, will be Brazil’s last preparation match before this summer’s tournament kicks off in North America.
The Brazil roster, led by manager Carlo Ancelotti, is headlined by attackers Neymar Jr. (Santos), Vinícius Jr. (Real Madrid) and Raphinha (Barcelona). Neymar Jr., Brazil’s all-time leading goalscorer with 79 goals, returns to the national team for the first time since 2023 after recovering from a knee injury.
Ancelotti’s squad will also be anchored by veteran goalkeepers Alisson (Liverpool) and Ederson (Fenerbahce); midfielders Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle) and Casemiro (Manchester United); defenders Gabriel Magalhaes (Arsenal) and Marquinhos (PSG); and forwards Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal) and Endrick (Real Madrid) as the Seleção seeks the nation’s sixth World Cup championship.
Brazil is the most decorated team in FIFA World Cup history with five tournament titles and is the only nation to have appeared in every edition of the tournament. Egypt, Africa’s oldest national team, will make its fourth World Cup appearance this summer. The two sides have met six times since 1960, with Brazil winning all six matches. They have not played since 2011.
Egypt, which will confirm its final World Cup roster later this month, is led by manager Hossam Hassan. The Pharaohs are expected to feature Liverpool star and two-time African Footballer of the Year Mohamed Salah, along with Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush.
Road to 26 is co-promoted by Unified Events and Florida Citrus Sports (FCS), bringing elite national teams to major American venues throughout 2026. The current match schedule is included below. Tickets to all Road to 26 events are on sale now at RoadTo26.com.
