Cleveland Browns launch Spanish radio broadcast with La Mega Media (9.15.23)
For Immediate Release
Sept. 15, 2023
The radio broadcast will provide full gameday coverage for Spanish speaking fans
BEREA, Ohio – For the 2023 season, the Cleveland Browns have partnered with locally-owned Murray Hill Broadcasting’s La Mega Media to provide fans a Spanish radio gameday broadcast in Northeast Ohio and online on the La Mega app through 2025. This partnership will provide Latino and Hispanic fans across Ohio with more options to listen to the gameday broadcast and a new way to take in the action.
For all Browns home and road games this year, veteran NFL broadcaster Rafael “Rafa” Hernández-Brito will call the on-field action, including a 15-minute pregame and postgame show. He’ll be complemented by color analyst Octavio Sequera.
Rafa is entering his eighth season calling Cleveland Cavaliers games and he spent eight years as the voice of NFL football for Spanish Broadcasts across Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, NFL Playoffs, and 11 Super Bowls on Univision.
Sequera also has robust experience in sports radio, including time with Major League Soccer, the Florida Panthers, ESPN Deportes Miami and Vamos Deportes in Coral Springs, Fla.
“La Mega Media is thrilled to partner with the Cleveland Browns to deliver live radio coverage of all Browns games to the Latino and Hispanic community in Northeast, Ohio,” said owner of Cleveland’s Murray Hill Broadcasting Tom Wilson. “We hope the broadcast allows more fans to experience the fun of a Cleveland Browns gameday.”
“With the La Mega Spanish radio broadcast, we have the opportunity to reach and engage with an important group of our fan base as they tune in during the game,” said Cleveland Browns Senior Vice President of Marketing and Media, Brent Rossi. “We’re looking forward to what Rafa and Octavio will add to our gameday radio broadcast lineup and experience.”
All Browns games will be streamed on La Mega Cleveland, WNZN 89.1 FM in Lorain as well as WVKO 103.1 FM in Columbus.
