Browns sign QB Joshua Dobbs (3.23.23)

BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns have made the following transactions:

QB Joshua Dobbs

Dobbs is entering his sixth NFL season after originally being selected by the Steelers in the fourth round in 2017. He spent 12 weeks with the Browns last season but did not appear in a game. He started the final two games of the regular season for the Titans in 2022 and completed 40 of 68 passes for 411 yards with two touchdowns. Dobbs spent 2017-18 with Pittsburgh before being traded to Jacksonville in 2019. He re-joined the Steelers from 2020-22. He has appeared in eight career games, with two starts, and completed 50 of 85 passes for 456 yards with touchdowns, while adding 75 rushing yards on 14 attempts. In 37 games at Tennessee, Dobbs passed for 7,138 yards and 53 touchdowns, while adding 2,160 rushing yards and 32 touchdowns.
