Browns re-sign LB Sione Takitaki (3.16.23)

BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns have made the following transactions:

Re-signed:

LB Sione Takitaki

Takitaki was originally selected by the Browns in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He has appeared in 57 career games with 29 starts. He has recorded 176 career tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown. He has added 26 career special teams stops. Last season the BYU product appeared in 12 games with eight starts and amassed a career-high 69 tackles, while adding one sack and one forced fumble.

“Taki is a physical player who plays the game hard. He’s a great teammate. He was playing at a high level for us last year prior to his injury and he’s working his tail off to make a full recovery.”
