BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns have re-signed DE Jadeveon Clowney.

 

Clowney, the first overall pick in the 2014 draft, initially joined the Browns as an unrestricted free agent last year. He appeared in 14 games and finished second on the team with nine sacks. He recorded 5.5 sacks in his final three games, including two in each of the final two contests. The 25 combined sacks between Clowney (nine) and DE Myles Garrett (16) were the second-most by a pair of Browns teammates in a season. Clowney has appeared in 97 career games and has recorded 292 tackles, 41 sacks, one interception, 12 forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries.
