Browns re-sign CB Tre Avery and CB D’Angelo Ross
BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns have made the following transactions:

CB D’Angelo Ross
Avery (5-11, 185) is entering his fifth NFL season out of Rutgers. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Tennessee in 2022, Avery has appeared in 48 career games with the Titans (2022-24) and Browns (2025). He has recorded 59 career tackles, 11 passes defensed and one fumble recovery, while adding 19 stops on special teams. Last season in 10 games with the Browns, he recorded five tackles on defense and eight on special teams.
Ross (5-9, 190) is entering his fifth NFL season out of New Mexico. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by New England in 2019, Ross has appeared in 36 career games with the Patriots (2021), Texans (2023-25) and Browns (2025). Last season, he appeared in three games with the Texans before being signed to the Browns’ active roster from the Texans’ practice squad. He appeared in seven games with Cleveland and recorded five tackles and two passes defensed on defense, while adding four special teams tackles.
