Browns make roster moves (8.12.24)

BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns have made the following roster moves:

Signed:

LB Brandon Bouyer-Randle

CB Faion Hicks

S Chase Williams

Waived:

CB Vincent Gray (injury designation)
DE Marcus Haynes
LS Rex Sunahara

Contract terminated:

RB John Kelly Jr.

Bouyer-Randle (6-2, 240) is officially in his first NFL season out of Connecticut. Originally signed by Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent in 2023, he spent his rookie season on the Buccaneers’ and Commanders’ practice squads. Bouyer-Randle will wear No. 36.

Faion Hicks (pronounced FAY-on) is 5-10, 192 and officially in his first NFL season out of Wisconsin. Originally a seventh-round pick by Denver in 2022, Hicks appeared in two games his rookie season. Last year, he spent the season on the Saints’ practice squad. He was signed by the Browns on Aug. 4 and waived on Aug. 8. Hicks will wear No. 49.

Williams (6-1, 195) is a rookie out of San Jose State. He participated in the Browns rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. Williams will wear No. 31.
