Browns elevate TE Sal Cannella and QB Bailey Zappe
BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns have elevated TE Sal Cannella and QB Bailey Zappe from the practice squad.
Cannella (6-5, 242) is officially in his first NFL season out of Auburn. Originally signed by Miami as an undrafted free agent in 2021, he has spent time with the Dolphins (2021), Packers (2022), Seahawks (2023) and Buccaneers (2024). Cannella will wear No. 87.
Zappe (6-1, 215) is in his fourth NFL season out of Western Kentucky. Originally selected by New England in the fourth round of the 2022 draft, Zappe has appeared in 15 career games with nine starts. Last season, he started one game for the Browns. Zappe will wear No. 11.
