Browns claim LB Tae Davis (10.30.19)

BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns have claimed LB Tae Davis via waivers from the New York Giants.

Davis is 6-1, 224 pounds and in his second NFL season out of Chattanooga. Originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2018, Davis has appeared in 18 games with five starts. He has recorded 37 career tackles, two sacks and one pass defensed. He has appeared in four games with one start this season. Davis is a native of Oxford, Ala.

No corresponding move is needed as DE Genard Avery was traded to the Eagles on Monday.
