Browns acquire Pro Bowl LB Deion Jones (10.10.22)

BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons have agreed to the following trade:

Browns receive:

LB Deion Jones
2024 7th round pick

Falcons receive:

2024 6th round pick

Jones is 6-1, 227 pounds and in his seventh season out of LSU. Originally a second-round pick by Atlanta in 2016, Jones has appeared in 85 games with 83 starts. A Pro Bowl selection in 2017, he has registered 650 career tackles, 8.5 sacks, 11 interceptions, 44 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Last year, he started all 16 games and recorded 137 tackles, six passes defensed and one forced fumble. This season, he was placed on injured reserve with a should injury on Sept. 1 and is eligible to be designated to return to practice.
