  • After this morning’s walkthrough, the Browns surprised players and coaches from James Ford Rhodes High School’s football team with $25,000 of new high-quality helmets. The HELMETS program, presented by Meijer and in association with University Hospitals and Xenith, aims to advance player safety by awarding an eligible Ohio area high school football program with $25,000 in new Xenith football helmets. As a prerequisite, programs must commit to enhancing player health and safety by enrolling in USA Football’s medically endorsed Youth Football Certification course, which offers certification clinics to educate coaches about concussion recognition and response protocols, proper equipment fitting, shoulder tackling, heads up blocking, heat emergency preparedness and hydration and sudden cardiac arrest. Recent recipients also include Shaw High School and Triway High School.

  • Launched in 2019, “Bring the Dawgs Out” welcomes youth and high school football programs onto the field to greet Browns players and coaches as they head out to practice. Players from Cleveland Muny Football League’s Flag Football league greeted Browns players and coaches prior to this afternoon’s practice. Additionally, select players had the opportunity to compete on the field following practice.

  • During open sessions of Browns training camp, all Browns fans in attendance can visit the Alumni Autograph Stage, presented by Keep It Fun Ohio, to collect an autograph of one of their favorite past players from 1-2:30 p.m. Today’s esteemed guest was Browns Legend  WR Joshua Cribbs.
