Browns Training Camp Notes, Aug. 14, 2022

 

 

  • The following players did not practice today due to injury: DT Sheldon Day (back), C Nick Harris (knee), DE Myles Garrett (personal), CB Shaun Jolly (groin), Greg Newsome II (hamstring), Elijah Nkansah (shoulder), CB Denzel Ward (foot), DE Chase Winovich (hamstring) and WR Michael Woods II (hamstring).

 

  • A total of 56 puppies have been adopted this year at the Browns Puppy Pound, presented by Sugardale. Since the program’s launch in 2015, 681 puppies from the Northeast Ohio Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) have been adopted by Browns fans at training camp practices. The Northeast Ohio SPCA is a non-profit no-kill pet shelter located in Parma.   • Nearly 50 people representing Cleveland families of kids with life-threatening conditions identified by A Kid Again Northern Ohio enjoyed a special day at Browns training camp today, courtesy of All-Pro guard Joel Bitonio and the Browns. Bitonio will also raise awareness for A Kid Again Northern Ohio during My Cause, My Cleats later this season.
    • “While playing in the NFL was my professional dream, the most important aspect of my life by far has always been my family, including my amazing wife, Courtney, and our two incredible kids,” said Bitonio, a four-time Pro Bowl selection. “When we learned about A Kid Again Northern Ohio, we were inspired by their passion for helping families and children as they go through these unimaginably challenging situations, and we wanted to make an impact. I am excited to welcome these families to training camp and hopefully help create many lasting smiles and memories for them, as well as raise awareness for A Kid Again Northern Ohio’s efforts during My Cause, My Cleats later this season.”

 

  • During open sessions of Browns training camp, all Browns fans in attendance can visit the Alumni Autograph Stage, presented by Keep It Fun Ohio, to collect an autograph of one of their favorite past players from 1-2:30 p.m. Today’s esteemed guest was Browns Alumnus Ben Davis.
