LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (11.30.22)
On if there is a different vibe, excitement or buzz with the team as QB Deshaun Watson returns from suspension:
“It is an excitement for sure. We are a diverse team. Watson provides a diverse aspect of the offense to be in not a different type of system but provides more diversity. It is an excitement. Is it a different vibe in reference to our intention? No, our intention is still to win, still to work hard and still to execute.”
On Watson on the practice field the past two weeks:
“He has done great for us on the defensive side of the ball giving us some looks and some of the diverse quarterbacks. It has been great. We know what he can do, and we know what we have seen so far. Looking forward to seeing.”
On how Watson is different from QB Jacoby Brissett in regards to persona or leadership:
“They are both good leaders. They just provide a different aspect of that leadership. Jacoby is, I would say, not necessarily just like the super loud guy or trying to be in everybody’s face. Not that guy. He is a lot one on one or two on two. He is an interpersonal guy. Watson, as well, but Watson can speak out of his mouth, be a little bit louder and things like that. That is what I have seen.”
On if the Browns are starting to see improved consistency on defense:
“Yeah, little increments here and there. We still have a lot of stuff to work on and lot of mistakes to fix. From this point, yeah, I think we made some little adjustments, and we are getting better as time goes on.”
On if the Browns defense has done better with penetrating in the backfield:
“Our focus is especially when it comes to short yardages to get a stop. Coach Kiff (defensive line coach Chris Kiffin) has done a great job of coaching us on those short downs. We just want to execute what they put into play.”
