On CB Denzel Ward expecting to play this week:
“It is amazing. He is one of the top corners in the game still. Obviously, having a talent like that on the field is always going to make everyone’s job a lot easier. It is definitely great to have him back.”
On takeaways from the team’s self-scout during the bye week, including after back-to-back strong defensive performances:
“Everyone is just doing their job. It is nothing spectacular that we were doing. It is just literally everyone doing their job, whether that is playing with great technique and you are supposed to cover this guy and cover that guy or setting the edge and doing exactly what you are supposed to do. I feel like our discipline level was very high those past two games.”
On if the Browns defense has emphasized each player continuing to do their own job and 1/11th:
“Yeah, that is the focus every week, and that was something that we weren’t doing this whole season. I feel like we have a good grasp for that. Hopefully, we are able to continue it this Sunday.”
On if the Dolphins’ WR duo of WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle is the best the team has faced this season:
“They are right there. We have played a lot of great receivers, but they are right there. It is definitely going to be a great matchup for us. It is going to be a fun one.”
On the challenges defending the Dolphins’ speed and use of the middle of the field:
“First talking about speed, they are fast, fast dudes, but we have speed on this side of the ball, too. I think we match up perfectly with them. It is definitely a challenge always going up against guys like that who can take the top off any second. This is definitely one of those games you have to keep your eyes right. Like I said, 1/11th, everyone has to do their job. It is not just on one person or one position group to stop everything. We have to rely on everybody. Some plays, might get beat and the D line saves you, and sometimes we have great coverage and allow the D line to get there. It definitely is just going to take all of us to stop a team like that.”
