WR Amari Cooper (10.28.22)
On if there is something unique playing on Monday Night Football:
“More people will be watching. If you make a lot of good plays, then everybody is going to notice it. That is a thing to remember, I guess, going into the game. That is pretty much it. I just know on Monday nights more people are watching the game, and it is more exciting – it is primetime.”
On the Bengals defense and the unit’s streak of not allowing a TD in the second half:
“They have a good defense. They have some guys up front who they have high motors. They always are chasing down runs. They don’t stop until that whistle blows. As far as the back end, they have some really good players. They have (Bengals CB) Chidobe (Awuzie). He is their No. 1 corner. He has been playing exceptionally well this year and hasn’t given up a lot of catches. It is going to be a challenge for us for sure obviously with the stat that you just said because we are looking to score touchdowns with every drive. That is our goal.”
On how to help stop losing streaks based on his career experience:
“Like you said, I have been in the league a while now. I have been on teams that have been in similar situations. It really just takes a win to be honest. That is really what it takes – a win. To get that win, you have to do the small things right to play well in the situations that you need to play well in just to turn the tide in your favor. Once you get that win, it can become a domino effect. I was on the Cowboys in 2018. We were 3-5, I believe, and we went on like a 10-game winning streak. It can be done for sure.”
On indications from the Browns locker room that provides confidence the team can turn things around:
“People in the locker room are serious about winning. I think that is the most about the room. The thing that all NFL players have in common is we are all really, really competitive so we all really want to win. That is why I think it comes down to the small things because everybody is so competitive. Everybody is looking to do the right things to win so it comes down to the smallest details.”
