WR Amari Cooper (9.8.22)
On the season opener finally being this week:
“Yeah, it is. Super excited. It is always an exciting feeling to enter into Week 1 of the season. Can’t wait.”
On how much work he and the QBs have been able to do together when media are not watching practice and since the final preseason game:
“Coach K-Rog (senior offensive assistant Kevin Rogers) always tells us to be proactive in our own development. We do probably more off the field than we do on the field than what you guys see just to make sure we are ready for Sunday.”
On Panthers CB Jaycee Horn playing only three games last year and if that provides enough film to study Horn’s game or if he also studied Horn’s college film:
“You want to study a guy as much as you can. You want to win the war before the war has actually happened. Any tidbits or pieces of information that I can get on the opponent I am going against, I am going to get it.”
On this being the third time he is playing a first game with a new team and if he is excited to wear a different uniform at this stage of his career:
“Yeah, I am always excited to play football. There is no question about anything pertaining to that. Anytime you can go out there and play the game you love and just do your thing out there, it is exciting.”
On if season openers feel different emotionally, as well as getting back to full contact:
“Yeah, I would say so. Like you said, you have been away from the game for so long in terms of playing on Sunday or playing against an opponent that it kind of feels foreign to you so yeah, it does have a different kind of feel to it.”
On what Browns fans can expect from the offense this season:
“Hopefully, it is going to be fireworks. We definitely have the talent on this side of the ball to be everything that we want to be. I don’t know what you should expect, but I would just say wait and see. Why not? It is right around the corner.”
