TE David Njoku (11.18.21)
On video of him encouraging teammates during the Cardinals game and if he felt the need to tell the team to keep their heads up after the Patriots game:
“Of course. It is a long season. Obviously, things did not play out the way we wanted to this past weekend. We have to just deal with it and keep moving.”
On his confidence the Browns can get back on track:
“I know what we have here. Obviously through adversity, things do not really go according to plan, and you can’t go back in the past. It is what it is. We have to just keep moving forward.”
On if he feels like the margin of error for the Browns is small for the team to get back in the playoff picture:
“All we are focused on is one game at a time. We are going to handle the Lions, and we need to go see who we have next week.”
On how QB Baker Mayfield has handled the number of injuries sustained:
“Great, really. He is very tough so he attacks every day like it is his last.”
On if he feels like the Browns TEs need to step up and become leaders on offense, given injuries to other position groups on offense:
“Absolutely, I feel like whether they are they or they are not, that we should as a whole step up and really help the team do what we have to do. With whatever happens, we have to be well prepared.”
On if the Browns TEs can create the explosive plays the team is looking for:
“You are asking a tight end so of course (laughter). Of course, we have the potential.”
