DE Myles Garrett (10.29.21)

On if there is anything he can do to combat not getting potential holding calls:

“You just have to win. I know once you are at the higher tier, I know AD (Rams DT Aaron Donald) deals with it; I know (Steelers LB) T.J. (Watt) deals with it; and I know (Bears LB) Khalil (Mack) deals with it so I have to do the same thing. I have to find a way to win.”

On if he has a chance to show he is the best edge rusher in the NFL when going up a player like Steelers LB T.J. Watt:

“I think it is in my mind and it is in his. We both want to be as productive as we can for our team, but we want to be the best defensive players on the field at any given time. As long as we share the field, we want to be dominating more than the other person.”

On if he is officially retiring the short-sleeves look, given his comments on Twitter:

“Done. Out of here.”

On what goes through his mind when receiving a text about a random drug test:

“Nobody else like this? Khalil never wears sleeves. I know he is not tested four times out of five games. It is kind of as a joke, but I think long-sleeve Myles is a better rusher anyway.”

On if he has thought about speaking to a union representative about the frequency of random drug tests:

“No, if I get one after this game, then I will talk to the union about it. If they cool down… They just wanted to make sure I was human, and that is OK (laughter).”

On if he has a specific sack total he wants to reach this season that he can share:

“That I would share? 20-plus, that is the goal.”

On if 20-plus sacks in a season has always been his goal:

“The record has been my goal, but if you are going out there, making an impact, being disruptive and you have 20-plus sacks and add some forced fumbles to it, then I will help my team win, and that is what it is all about.”

On Bengals DT Larry Ogunjobi:

“Larry is balling. He is having a great year. I am glad to see it. He is adjusting well. I know he is wishing me well. I have talked to him a little bit here and there. I am just glad to see that he is happy and doing what he does best, and that is being productive in the middle.”
