RB Nick Chubb (10.27.21)
On if he is planning to play on Sunday:
“I hope so. We just have to see how this week goes, see how practice goes and make a decision later on.”
On how fun it was to watch RB D’Ernest Johnson’s performance against the Broncos:
“It was awesome to see him, (FB) Johnny (Stanton IV) and (RB) John (Kelly Jr.) all go out there and step up. We needed them big, and they came through for us. It was awesome watching them play, watching them run through those guys and have a good game.”
On why Browns teammates love Johnson so much:
“It is his story. Two or three years ago, he was fishing on a boat trying to find some money and find some work. Now, he is here on the Browns, and he had a great game. It is his story, where he has come from, trusting in the process and never giving up. He is just a lovable guy, too. He is one of my best friends on the team, and it was fun watching him play.”
On if he is close to ‘full-go’ or needs another day or two:
“It is hard to tell. I have not been on the field yet. I guess I will find out today.”
On how his calf injury occurred:
“I do not know the answer to that either. It just kind of tightened up on me during the Chargers game. I managed to finish the game on it, but I noticed something was not right so I got it looked at further, and I strained my calf somewhere in the game.”
On how he responded after working out on Monday:
“It feels great, yeah.”
