On the Browns offense through three games:

“I think we have played pretty well. There are always going to be things to improve. We have run the ball well. We have run the ball efficiently. There are always going things to get better. If you are as good as you are going to be in Week 3, you are not going to be very good. We are going to need to improve week after week throughout the rest of the season in order to get to where we want to go. We can clean up our pass protection a little more. That was something we need to do better from last week. Overall, everything [can improve]. Even our run game that we have done really efficiently so far needs to continue to improve. There are still yards we have left out there. We are just going to continue to get better every single day.”

On if he feels confident in the practice schedule in place to remain healthy:

“Yeah, I think so. I think we have a good plan going at this point. I think we know what I need to do and what I do not need to do. I will just continue to go along with it and do what is necessary.”

On the challenges for a second-year player like T Jedrick Wills Jr. missing practice time during the week before playing on Sundays compared to a more veteran player like him:

“It is not easy. A lot of it is the balance of mental reps and making sure your technique does not faulter and making sure that you are ready to go physically, as well. It is not easy to miss a lot of time and go out there and execute everything you have to execute. I think we continue to work with Jed to make sure first off that he is first off feeling good. I think if you are going out there and you are not feeling good, it is really tough to do your job, even if you know what your job is. Once you take care of his body and making sure he is ready to go, that is where the walkthroughs are really important and the mental reps with the film. That is all really important for anybody who is trying to play with not a lot of practice time.”

On previously playing three-quarters of a season with an ankle sprain and if he has offered Wills advice on how to combat the ankle injury each week:

“I think everybody is different and everybody’s injury is different and kind of what they are feeling and what bothers them. In the end, we really appreciate Jed battling. It is tough playing hurt, but we appreciate Jed going out there, working his tail off throughout the week to get as close to 100 percent as possible and going out there to fight for us.”
