LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (9.26.21)
On recording his first sack:
“Yeah, it felt good. I was going to say that first sack but half-sack, it is always a good feeling to execute on certain plays.”
On the Browns defense’s performance today:
“When we started the game, honestly, I felt like we came into the game and prepared right. We prepared the right way all throughout the week. When your opportunity meets, you have to face it and execute, and that is what we did.”
On what it is like to watch DE Myles Garrett perform today:
“Great. He is a talented guy, as we all know. He executed the job that he needed to do. I would not even say that he overdid it in terms of the expectations. We all expect him to do those things. He had a great game.”
On the Browns defense being able to ‘bottle up’ Bears QB Justin Fields:
“We always come into the game with high expectations for ourselves. It is about us. When we come in the game, the goal was to bottle up Fields. That is what we did. We expect to do it at a high level, and that is what we did.”
On if there was a specific message to the Browns defense this week:
“There were a couple of messages – bottle up Fields, eliminate the run as always, do not let them score in the red zone, make sure that we execute the defense and a lot of those. A lot of things that we wanted to accomplish, and a lot of things that we did. We got off the field on third down and things like that.”
