Browns place RB Nick Chubb on injured reserve, sign TE Brenden Bates

BEREA, Ohio – The Cleveland Browns have placed RB Nick Chubb (foot) on injured reserve and signed TE Brenden Bates to the active roster from the Jets’ practice squad. In addition, the team has signed RB Jacob Kibodi to the practice squad and released TE Cameron Latu from the practice squad.

Chubb appeared in eight games this season and recorded 332 rushing yards and four total touchdowns (three rushing and one receiving).

Bates (6-5, 255) is a rookie out of Kentucky. Originally signed by the Bears as an undrafted free agent, Bates appeared in five games with the Jets this season. He will wear No. 82.

Kibodi (6-1, 225) is a rookie out of Louisiana- Lafayette. Originally signed by the Saints as an undrafted free agent, he has spent time on New Orleans’ practice squad this season. Kibodi will wear No. 36.
